Recent DVD Pick-Ups #2

Yeah, The Shadow Man really was the blow away of the Princess & The Frog. Looks like Disney's trying to throwback to its roots a bit.

I'm intrigued to know what your other favorite Superhero movies are.

My top 5 super hero movies at this point in time would probably be as follows

5.The Avengers. I know. I know, but this is the best super hero movie ever, is what you're probably thinking, but the reason it's lower on the list is cause, I've only seen it ounce. Since I don't want to spoil anything just in case someone hasn't seen it yet I won't go into to too much detail on why I like it I'll just say it has some of the best super hero's ever in one movie working as a team. That's just EPIC!

4.Thor. This is one of thee most underrated Super hero movies to me. It had a great story characters, and a villain that was just as good as the Joker from the dark knight. The thing I really loved about the movie was it's subtly. The relationship between him and his love interest wasn't shoved in your face like other super hero movies "Cough" Sam Raimi Spiderman Trilogy "Cough". They just showed the two character's getting along in together in scenes and just having a few memorable moments together, although I really wished they wouldn't of kissed at the end as I really think that the subtly of the relationship would've been better if they would've waited to show them kiss in the sequel but as you know this is a super hero movie so they must have that kiss scene. lol. I also loved how Thor changed slowly throughout the film and not super fast you could tell he changed at the end of the movie. I just love thor.

3.Captain America. As I said I love this movie to death it's a great movie. It has a great story and characters. I loved Cap in this movie he was played perfectly by Chris Evan's to me. I loved the relationship he had with Peggy in the movie as well, and of course Tommy Lee Jones because he's Tommy Lee Jones. This is a great testament to super hero movies as my dad even loved it and he doesn't usually like super hero movies the only one's he actually really likes were, Batman Begins, Captain America, The Incredible's, Superman, and Batman The Movie from the 1960's I think almost anyone could watch this super hero movie along with my other top 2 picks.

2.The Incredible's. Well it's a Pixar Movie so you know it's going to be great, but it's more than that it's just awesome! I love the relate able story, and characters. This movie has one of the most relate able super hero family in all of super hero movies to me, and it's just one of Pixar's best. The animation is great and stylistic. The story is just very well told and it has one of the most entertaining villain's in super hero movie history.

1. Batman Begins/ The Dark Knight. I know most people say this is there favorite super hero movie, but it is mine as well. I know not really original, but hey. I love this movie for its Tone, Writing, Characters, Story, and Atmosphere and I can't wait to see The Dark Knight Rises as well, and both movies have really awesome Villains. I have one question though am I the only one who actually likes the Batman voice. lol.
